Dutch Bros. Coffee, renowned for its distinctive coffee and vibrant culture, embarked on a transformative journey with the aim of expanding its market presence from a modest drive-through stand to becoming the third-largest coffee company in the United States. I had the privilege of collaborating with Dutch Bros. Coffee over several years, contributing to their dynamic growth through innovative design and impactful brand collateral.

THE CHALLENGE

As Dutch Bros. Coffee aimed to scale its operations and enhance its brand visibility, there was a clear need for a cohesive and appealing visual identity that could resonate with a very broad audience. The challenge was to create engaging and distinctive merchandise and promotional materials that not only reflected the brand’s energetic and community-focused ethos but also appealed to a diverse customer base.

THE Solution

In response to Dutch Bros. Coffee's needs, I designed a constantly revolving series of novel hats, t-shirts, hoodies, and stickers that featured eye-catching designs and captured the essence of the brand's lively spirit. Each item was crafted to appeal to the brand’s young and energetic demographic, ensuring that the designs were not only trendy but also versatile enough to be embraced by a wide range of customers. Additionally, I developed an array of signs, flyers, mugs, and other brand collateral that reinforced Dutch Bros. Coffee's presence in multiple markets. These materials were designed to be instantly recognizable, enhancing brand recall and fostering a strong connection with the community.
